Hot Star Large Fried Chicken (Blue Bay Walk)

Last Sunday, my good friend Laura who happens to be a Vietnamese invited me for a lunch date. Along with her Filipino husband, Sir Joe Frank and my boyfriend, Sunny on Wednesday.

Laura told us to meet them at 11am in Blue Bay Walk which is located in EDSA Ext, Pasay City near the famous Mall of Asia. By the time we reached there it was burning hot! 🌞🌞🌞 It was a good thing we brought sunnies and my pink umbrella to be able to enjoy and take a stroll in the heated park.

Laura was really ecstatic to let our tastebuds give in to this new fried chicken in town. The Hot Star Large Fried Chicken, Taiwan’s #1 chicken shop. By the word Large we are talking XXXL LARGE. Whoppin’ large! I bet this chicken went on the gym for that to-die-for-chicken breast and wing.

Laura and I chose the crispy large chicken in chili pepper. Sunny chose the same chicken in barbecue. While Sir Joe Frank chose the crispy large fish.

Hot Star offers three choices the original large chicken, crispy large chicken and cripsy large fish with your choices of flavors in Salt and Pepper, Chili Pepper, Red Hot and Barbecue. All for 145php, additional 35php for rice and drink. They also offer other kiddie meals like spaghetti, and the regular kind of chicken.

Thoughts: I was surprised to see how big the chicken was. :o:o:o Made me think if I could finish it all up. But you know me and food and particularly chicken! Haha. Though the rice cup might not be enough for rice-lovers still the chicken size would compensate for it. The gravy though was quite disappointing, it was watery and bland. However you get a free unlimited refill throughout the course.

Overall, it was quite a filling experience. I’d probably invite my friends and brother over for some serious chicken fest! So if you crave for some juicy and big fried chicken head over to Hot Star’s, they have branches in Cubao, Megamall, Robinson’s Galleria and etc.

Merci beaucoup et á bientôt!
