Ahh… her works never cease to amaze and sweep me off my feet. The first book I read by Perkins was Anna and the French Kiss and it is somehow related to the book we would be discussing. The thing about Perkins’ books are that they touch your soul in a simple way. No elaborate words or sceneries just plain reality, and mind you, reality hurts more than you ever thought. Being said that, I find my relation to the book (in a way) quite similar, on the part where Lola is confused on her present and past love. But let’s not talk about me, let’s talk about Lola.

Being trapped by your past and present love especially with a still wounded heart is really difficult. Lola had to balance the two men clashing within her, but like any love triangles, only “the one” will emerge victorious in her heart. Well, I wouldn’t tell who, because I’d like you guys to read it, and I think I have said half of the story, tee-hee! Anyway, try reminiscing the angst of your teenage love or perhaps that moment when you had fallen in love, wasn’t it magical? Doesn’t it feel like shooting stars inside you? That tingling sensation from your hair to your toes, those deep *sighs* and blank stares wandering of your dreamland of love. That is exactly what you’ll get after reading this book. A hopeless romantic’s fantasies and even if you aren’t, I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading a 300 page book in a whole day or even in a few hours!
And I hold my head high toward my big entrance, hand in hand with the boy who gave me the moon and stars.
