Hanako’s Express and Doner G’s Pizza (Take-out)

So last Sunday, we decided to take out meals instead of a homemade lunch. There are numerous places to choose at here in Pasig and one of those places are in SM Pasig Hypermarket.

Hanako’s Express
I have always wanted to try Hanako’s since it opened. I like Japanese food and in particular with their sushis. So when dad asked us where we wanted to buy, my mind immediately popped out Hanako’s.

Their choices range from appetizers, kani salads, donburis, katsus, sushis, sashimis & their bestseller the sukiyaki. I opted a chicken donburi in chahan rice and spicy tuna teriyaki rolls.

Thoughts: I never thought Chicken Donburi was a huge meal. I really couldn’t eat it all and had to share it with my brother and mom. The chahan rice is definitely good, but matching it with a sweetened chicken was too much for my tastebuds. As for the Spicy Tuna Teriyaki rolls, it was good, but since I felt my meal was too sweet already a good dip in the wasabi paste could alter the taste. I’d probably stick to sushis instead. Both meals cost me 417php.

Doner G’s Pizza
If you have read my post about Big Guy’s and my great love for pizza. You’ll probably think I am biased for this meal. Hahaha. Anyhoots, Doner G’s new menu offers pizza. But, of a different kind and twist. If you are used to cheesy and “tomatoe-y” pizza, you might find Doner G’s pizza weird, but in a good way.

However, if you are a vegetarian, you might not find this appealing at all. Doner G offers mostly meat meals. But for meat lovers, it might be a haven. Haha

Literally meat overload

Thoughts: They offer white or hot sauces to match the pizza. Topped with beef and parsley. Squeeze in some Kalamansi and you are good to go. The crust is thin and can be rolled like Yellow Cab’s Dear Darla. I only took a few bites and had to eat the rest later that eve as it made me feel full. So far, it was good but you might want to cleanse your palate from the meat overload after. :):):)

If you are living in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines then come by to try Hanako’s and Doner G!

Merci beaucoup et á bientot!

Big Guy’s 36-Inch Pizza

Yesterday, was the last day of classes. My last day of being a first year student. Oh, how time flies indeed. But like all good endings, it should be celebrated. What way to celebrate? Have a slice of good ol’ pizza! 🍕🍕🍕

I love pizza. I mean, who doesn’t right? The cheese, the meat, and the yummy tomato sauce. Yum! With today’s creative society. Pizza has evolved in different forms and SIZES. Nom nom!

Here in Manila a booming pizza delivery store is know for their big party sized pizza. And it’s not your ordinary 12-inch pizza. It’s a whopping 36-inch pizza that’s good for 10-15 persons. In case you wanted it to be good for 40 people have it sliced into party slices or cubes. Which is what we did.

We ordered a day before our last day via phone call. The lady who answered was quite nice and attentive to the order I made. She gave me variants to choose from and I ordered their 36-inch, 12 flavored pizza to be delivered at 9:45am.

To tell you, they delivered quite fast on that day. It was huge and heavy! Our classroom was on the 4th floor, a mistake I did was to get it by myself. Haha. It was heavy, but as the saying goes, “If there’s a will, there’s a way”

Have I told you that we were having an exam by that time? Well, it sure did made us answer quick so we could eat. Haha.

We were waiting for the others to finish.

It was a hearty fellowship that we all enjoyed.

Oooh. The grease!!

Yum!

The pizza was huge as expected. A bit oily, but flavorful. The crust was thin and crunchy. But the mid-part was soggy. My favorite from the 12 flavors was the one with pepperonis and just cheese. The cost? 1,448php. Delivery charge would depend on your location.

Overall, I would probably order again next time. For the simple reason, I LOVE PIZZA and a good fellowship.

Merci beaucoup et á bientôt!

Linguini Fini (SM Mega Fashion Hall)

Valentine’s Day just ended and my way of celebrating it is to spend the eve with my family. Sunny has his own Valentine’s with his family too (in case, you are wondering) :).

So when we chose what place we wanted to try out we headed to Linguini Fini (SM Mega Fashion Hall). I have always wanted to try out their pastas, as I am a pasta lover. Or should I rather say, I love food. 😄😄😄

This promo is only on Feb 14. Aww. I bugged my mum to try this. Haha

It was a good thing that the staff were friendly and attentive to detail. Cause if you guys don’t know it yet, we basically don’t eat pork. So, our choices would definitely be limited.

The place has this industrial ceiling look with graffiti-walls, on which I find cool. Although, the place’s temperature was indeed warm inside. Or I guess, the servings were hot. We ordered four plates of different pastas and a pizza for meal.

Our biggest mistake was when we asked for the regular. We wanted to try everyone’s dishes. The server told us that a regular dish is good for two. We thought, “Ah, it might be the same as others where their ‘good for two’ is only for one person.” 😅😝😓😑

The pastas are offered in lite (solo), regular (two persons) and a big platter for 4 or more. Imagine the heap of pasta placed on our table. 😈

Pizza!! 🍕🍕🍕 Gambarretti and Shrimp

It was a filling dinner that night. My choices would be the Lamb Rigati, Gambaretti and Shrimp Pizza and the Spicy Shrimp Arrabiata. However, we didn’t get to finish our food that eve. As we were full and feeling “umay” from the meal. Nevertheless, it is one worth experience!

Happy Valentines! 💘💘💘
